Tip #79: Buy Big (and Yes, Size Matters)
One knows that as one ages, the eyes start to go. So, Retirement Yenta has decided to beat nature at it’s own game. She has gone and bought herself two big screen TV’s, one for her living room and one for the bedroom. Retirement Yenta especially loves having a big TV in the bedroom (for obvious reasons). Now, when mother nature tries to laugh at your dear Yenta for not being able to see the way she once could, the Yenta can laugh back saying she sees just fine (as long as it is on at least a 42″ screen). Your dear Yenta also says, “Size matters, so, buy big, and buy now!”
Tip #39 Wear Exquisite Neckwear
As we age, our necks start to show some wear and tear. Whether you are male or female this is true. While men can wear fantastic ties (i.e., Hermes) to divert your attention from their neck, a woman actually has many more choices. Buy an intricate or ornate necklace to wear as a focal point of your wardrobe. Candace Bergen wears some beautiful neckwear, and it’s worked! Retirement Yenta repeats: Buy all the seasons of Boston Legal and observe what Candace is wearing–watch the series anyway (it’s very funny). Tip 12: Buy TV Series and Movies in Advance
Make a list of all the movies and TV shows you always wanted to watch, but you never had enough time. Rank them in priority order. Retirement Yenta recommends the following TV series: The Sopranos, Dexter, Weeds, Boston Legal, and Desperate Housewives. Look into online rental services like Netflix and Blockbuster.
