Passover is coming, dear Readers!! This means it is spring and time for renewal. As all good Jews around the world are celebrating their freedom, so too is Retirement Yenta. She is freeing herself from her past work files. FREE FROM THESE FILES AT LAST! She no longer is kidding herself into thinking she needs these files for reference. She is pushing them out the door as fast as she can. Don’t let her manic composure fool you, this gal is ready for retirement level ten (aka watching the tides in Miami Beach). So, dearest ones, your Yenta wants you to know that everything has its season and everything has its time. She wants you to know that it has a reason and a rhyme. So, allow yourself to let go.
Retirement Yenta is in a period of transition…a LOT of transition. Her boychik leaves for Israel the day after the Yenta’s own birthday. Sigh. Her summer help (Edith Pugsworth Hill, the office Pug) is leaving for NC in 3 days. What’s a Yenta to do without her son and Office Dog nearby? She could weep and wail, whine and moan…OR, a Yenta could treat herself to something special when she starts feeling blue…before and after the transitional event! This week, RY is checking out a few plays. Next week, she is going on a mini-vacay to visit Pappa Yenta up in the Wilds of Connecticut. Soon, your dear Yenta will be getting facials and mani/pedis on a daily basis. You never know what this Yenta will do. She may even set up shop in NC to visit her Office Pug. AND, you can bet your sweet little tuchas that this crafty little Yenta will be visiting her son on a regular basis…in the homeland of our peeps.
Now, dear Readers, know this: Transitions may come and transitions may go, and as they come and as they go new opportunities pile up and make your being glow. Open yourself to new opportunities, but don’t let the transitions drag you down…just get out there On the Town.
