Today Retirement Yenta is back in the kitchen (no, she’s not barefoot–she’s wearing her Uggs). Your dear Yenta is cooking up some Noodle Kugel using her dear Mother’s recipe. This was Retirement Yenta’s favorite when she was but a wee little Yenta. Funny, your little Yenta just realized as she was writing this that it is almost her Mom’s birthday. So, with this in mind Retirement Yenta will share with you the not-so-secret recipe:
1 lb noodles (medium width)
1 cup sugar
1 cup raisins
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 lb Margarine (or butter if you are not going parve)
Beat up butter, add eggs, sugar, raisins, cinnamon, and apples. Mix with cooked noodles and bake at 350 degrees for 3/4 of an hour.
