It’s a sad day in the home of Retirement Yenta. One might think it is the end of an era. That’s right dear Readers, something big has happened in the Yenta’s life. She’s been gearing up for it for almost a year and a half…and now it is here. Your dear Yenta is suffering today from the loss of her Goy Boy Assistant (GBA). No…he did not die. He is moving to Michigan (a fate some consider worse than death). Your dear Yenta’s GBA is going back to school to get his Doctorate in Vocal Performance. RY’s GBA has been working for RY since 2003. While this little Yenta has a great sadness in her heart, she also is very happy to see her GBA following his dream. RY’s GBA always has been a star in her eyes, and hopefully now, he will be a star in the eyes of the world at large.
Retirement Yenta loves to have an opera singer in her pocket, so she’s hired another one…a GGA (G0y Girl Assistant) named Stephanie. It will be a new era here in RY’s home, but change is good. To this your dear Yenta says: Embrace change. Life is short. Life is sweet. You don’t want to be caught, sitting on your “seat.” Embrace the change within your life, it’s not the end, you will live through the strife. L’chiam GBA. Safe travels.
In honor of her GBA, RY is posting GBA’s favorite singer (Renata Tebaldi) singing about living for art…Vissi d’arte, Tim…Vissi d’arte.
