Retirement Yenta has been off duty for the past couple of weeks. To her patient readers, she says: “Look Out! Your Yenta is back and filled with new ideas and tips a-go-go.” Today, dear Readers, Retirement Yenta would like to share with you a couple of stories. First, your Yent-orina just returned from España…and let me tell you…Kosher Kookin’ there ain’t. Retirement Yenta spent almost two weeks eating the drips and drabs of the Kosher options she could find. It was tough…and sometimes not the best tasting. After eating not so great food, your dear Yenta felt bloated, gross, and a bit lethargic. This got your dear Yenta to thinking about her DDGBA (Dearly Departed Goy Boy Assistant–may he study in peace). RY’s DDGBA recently discovered that he suffers from Celiac disease. DDGBA dropped the wheat and gluten from his diet and dropped 50 pounds in a matter of months! Not only that, but DDGBA was feeling better (no reflux) and had much more energy and focus (believe the Yenta…she was HIGHLY impressed with this improvement!) Now, dear Readers, if a small change in diet can take you so far down or lift you up, why wouldn’t you want to eat good food and give up the yuck?
