NOTE: RY has been a little under the weather this week, so her holiday post is a little late, but it is never too late to Be Thankful.
The holiday season is once again upon us! Retirement Yenta would like to let out a big SHRIEK!!! Where did the year go, dear Readers, where? It has been a busy year in the Yenta’s household and she has much to be thankful about. In the spirit of these upcoming holidays (including tomorrows), Retirement Yenta would like to remind you that helping others out is a good thing to do. You will feel good about yourself and your own good fortune, and someone in need will be a little better off in their life. In times like the current economic crisis, we may not have the money to donate that we once did…if we do, we should most certainly give…if we don’t, a gift of volunteering is a great deed also. There are many organizations that would be thrilled to have your skill set. Just think dear Readers, a volunteer job could turn into your Retirement Career! Give it a try…you MIGHT like it…just like the mashed potatoes of your childhood.
