Oy, dear Readers. Government can be confusing at times. There’s always something to be missed. Sit back and let your dear Yenta tell you a happy tale of benefits found.
Recently, Retirement Yenta went on a mini-vacay to the Wilds of Connecticut. With her, RY took her lovely Cousin Yenta and there was time to be had with Papa Yenta. This, dear Readers, makes a Yenta family a happy one. Long ago, though, Cousin Yenta lost her dearly beloved husband to that great Retirement in the Sky, and raising a family on the income of one is not the easiest thing to do, but Cousin Yenta did it. Well, Cousin Yenta is now approaching the age of Retirement. In a conversation with Papa Yenta, Cousin Yenta found out about the survivor benefits she could apply for at the age of 60. This makes Cousin Yenta feel much relief over her future because she will not be strapped so tightly for gelt. Fortunately for Cousin Yenta, the information was given to her by Papa Yenta. Had it not been, CY would never have received the gelt she was entitled to getting.
This Yenta finds financial talk to be a bit distasteful, and she tries to avoid such talk, but today, it seems appropriate. Retirement Yenta wants you to get out there and learn everything you can about your Social Security benefits. It may benefit you in the future!
