Retirement Yenta has been away for awhile, dear Readers, and she is sorry she has left you hanging high and dry without an tip or two to tickle your fancies. Your dear Yenta has been busy trying on a new way of life…the life of a dog owner. RY has been an anti-dog person for many-a year, but this month, RY’s Goy Boy Assistant (GBA), Tim is back in town and RY has been hanging out with his pooch, Edith Pugsworth Hill, III. When GBA is not working up a storm, he is out on the town seeing a show or 4. This gives your dear Yenta plenty of quality time with Miss Edith. Let me tell you, dear Readers, this little missy has melted the stone-cold heart of a non-dog owner with her gassy, bad breathy, butt wigglin’, food obsessin’, cuteness. The great thing about RY’s relationship with Edith the Pug is that it has limits. Soon, sadly, RY’s GBA will be heading back to NC to teach the music theatre stars of tomorrow, and Edith will be going with him. The Retirement Pad will be a lonely place for a week or two, until RY is on to her next project in Miami Beach. BUT, dear Readers, you never know what a Yenta will do. She’s impulsive, she’s unpredictable. Heck, she even bought Edith a leopard fainting sofa “for to stay” in the Retirement Pad. Someday, dear Readers, RY may have a pug of her own.
With this in mind, Retirement Yenta would like to suggest you try out a part-time dog. It’s no commitment fun for everyone!
