Retirement Yenta’s second tip states: Weed Out Your Books. Back in the beginnings of your dear Yenta’s blog, tablet readers were just getting started. Your dear Yenta recommended retiring old books like How to Win Friends & Influence People and replacing them with Retirement Reading…things like health & wealth, second home improvement, hobbies, travel guides, medical references, and the classics. This Yenta is has now become a fan of reading on her tablet and loves having her library in the palm of her hand. She is once again weeding out her paper books and going digital. It has long been a regular Yenta Process to weed out books so there is room on the shelf for new reads, but these days, this little Yenta wants to fill her bookcases with tchotchkes, trinkets, and photos of her favorite people (and pugs)…and a few of her timeless favorite traditional paper books that she cannot live without.
Retirement Yenta recommends you wrangle your reading onto an e-reader and rescue your bookcases from the weight of paper books and replace them with trinkets to tickle your fancy.
