As you know, dear Readers, your dear Yenta loves to shop till she drops. ANNNNND, Retirement Yenta has been an avid supporter of making big purchases while still in the workforce. By doing so, it saves you worry when on a fixed income. Retirement Yenta also believes that a few quality pieces can support your wardrobe for YEARS…decades, even! If chosen carefully, these pieces will be timeless and will not go out of style! So, dear Readers, get out there (or get on line) and start purchasing pieces that will make you happy in your Retirement Years. You don’t have to do it all at once–a piece here and there will do.
On the flip side of this tip, dear Readers, RY believes that if you have a second (or third) home, you should have separate wardrobes for each. This will minimize the need for schlepping bathing suits back and forth from New York City to Miami. Keep your warm weather basics in your warm weather home. Now, RY knows you are saying: “BUT, RY…NYC has warm weather, too.” To that, this little Yenta says: “Why schlep? Airport security is a pain…and traveling with a heavy bag can hurt your back! Take care of your body…it’s the only one you got!”
