Retirement Yenta has always loved a Latke Party. Having her friends and family over to snack, drink, make latkes together, eat ’em and make some more is one of the best ways to celebrate the winter holidays. This year, RY has decided to Go Global and she’s inviting friends from different races and religions to join her in celebrating the season of peace. While latkes are a Jewish mainstay, RY knows that EVERYONE will love the fried potato-y goodness, no matter what their religious background. This year’s party will feature gluten-free goodies from around the world. Some of RY’s munchies will include her GBA’s family recipe for White Trash Snack (see recipe below), Indian Spiced Roasted Chickpeas, and gluten-free egg rolls. There will be wines and cheeses of the world. There will be a plethora of punches and free-wheeling (yet filling) finger foods.
If, dear Readers, you don’t remember the goings-on of a good Latke Party, your dear Yenta would like to redirect you to read and review the rules of a good LP here. Your dear Yenta’s favorite latke recipe is linked and ready for you to gather your friends together to celebrate this season of peace, love, and light. She wants you to put on some music, drink some wine, make some Latke’s, and make general gaiety. Retirement Yenta says: gather, grate, gobble, and go wild. Enjoy your friends and holidays in style!

Salty Snacks of choice (GBA enjoys a variety of Chex cereals, nuts, and popcorn)
Chocolate for melting
Melt chocolate. Coat snacks in melted chocolate. Place on a cookie sheet covered in wax paper to cool. Before chocolate cools, coat snack in powdered sugar. It’s a powdery, chocolatey, salty, messy snack that is addicting like crack!
